Wilson Rackets

Can words really persuade you to go out and purchase a tennis racket? I hope so. For this Wilson Rackets ad, I was given an open slate of persuasion to create a piece of writing that would get tennis players and fans alike to purchase the Wilson racket.

There were many versions of this ad, as I meticulously went through each and every word to make sure that they added value to the message.

A cheeky headline, a convincing script, and a powerful ending. I did everything in my power to create an interesting and persuading story for the reader to hit with a racket.

Blue Mountain Ski Hill

When I wrote this ad, I never considered it long copy. I crafted it as the opening paragraph of a story, where the author paints a scene with metaphors and meaningful words.

My goal was to create a scenic picture and let the emotional connection engage the reader. Did it work? The success of this ad led to the request for the ad above. It was probably the most excruciating, yet rewarding time of my advertising career.
